FSR Fresh is a Family Service Rochester initiative created in response to COVID-19 and community food insecurities. FSR receives food donations from organizations and grocery stores that are then distributed to local seniors. We are looking for volunteers to help with food donation pick-up and delivery to our south office location. This is a much needed service, and you would play a VITAL role!
Details:
- Pick-up and delivery volunteers go to Cub Foods to get donated bakery and produce items.
- Specific pick-up instructions will be provided to the registered volunteer prior to their shift.
- Larger vehicle (SUV, etc.) recommended or a car with seats that fold down or can accommodate large boxes of produce.
- Once the food donations are delivered to the south office, we do ask that the volunteer then places cold items into the Fresh refrigerator.
Time:
- 8:30 am is the earliest Cub will have donations ready for pick-up
- Donations can be picked up any time between 8:30am and 10:00am
