If you are interested in this opportunity,  please respond to this request. Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Volunteer: HOME Program Mentor

Aging Services is seeking Housing Mentors to share their experience and help someone navigate a home transition.

Have you been through a housing transition yourself?

Downsized?

Moved to a senior residence community or some other housing arrangement?

Share your experience to help someone navigate a home transition!

The HOME (Housing, Outreach, Mentorship, and Empowerment) program will help older adult homeowners explore housing options and the services they may need to make a confident housing transition. The program will also help the community learn what older adults need, want, and value when considering their next home.

Someone is facing the housing decisions that you may have faced in the past.

Become a Mentor and be the support you wish you had received.
We provide the training, tools, and resources.
You provide the understanding, experience, and helping hand that can turn uncertainty into hope

HOME is a pilot program for the Coalition for Rochester Area Housing. Funded by the Rochester Area Foundation, the pilot is being conducted by Family Service Rochester and Elder Network.
