Volunteer: Senior Café Volunteer - ByronSenior Café is a gathering place for older adults where a nutritious mid-day meal is served with others. Attendees enjoy meeting up with friends and participating in social activities that allow seniors to remain active and connected to the community while meeting their nutritional needs. Volunteer Opportunities Senior Café takes place every Wednesday in Byron from 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m. **Volunteer needs to be comfortable working independently. Training is provided. If you would like more information about volunteering with Family Service Rochester, please get in touch with a member of our Senior Independence Team at 507-287-2010 or volunteers@familyservicerochester.org. FSR receives food donations from organizations and grocery stores that are then distributed to local community members. We are looking for volunteers to help with the food box sortation and assembly. This is a much needed service, and you would play a VITAL role! Time: Food box sortation and assembly happens every Wednesday morning. Hours are from 9:00am to 11:30am.Location: Family Service Rochester South Office (1625 Highway 14 E, Rochester, MN 55904)
